Start with identity and clarity
A trusted job opportunity should make it clear who is hiring, what the role involves, how to apply, and what happens next. Missing details do not always mean fraud, but they are a reason to slow down.
Look for a company website, official email address, public profile, verified page, named recruiter, or consistent online presence. Be careful when a recruiter refuses to share basic employer information.
Never pay to apply
Legitimate employers should not charge applicants for interviews, placements, training deposits, visa processing promises, equipment reservations, or background checks through personal accounts.
Be especially careful with urgent messages that push you to send money, identity documents, bank details, or one-time codes before a real interview process.

- Use official application links when possible.
- Trust your pause when details feel rushed or inconsistent.
Ask direct questions
You can ask who the hiring manager is, what the interview steps are, whether the role is paid during training, and where the company is registered. Serious employers should be able to answer clearly.
